Halloween Kills continues the return of Michael Myers from 2018's Halloween, and he's actually in great form here! Problem is that the rest of the movie is not. I wasn't initially gonna cover this film because I seemed to drop the ball in my "Halloween (2018) — The Twist Without A Payoff" video, but since I was offered a deal by a dark force, let's do it anyway. Michael Myers was improved a lot from last time, so this time let's instead focus on the filmmaker's toxic obsession with this franchise and how it hurts this film as a sequel. In today's anatomy of a failure, let's identify a few pitfalls when making a sequel to a franchise you love very much.
